The new Hex Thru-Tube Torque Rod has a new shape on both the front and the back end.
Front End Improvements:
The rod now has a one inch flat on the end to improve shoot-ability and reduce line twist.
Improved torque and leverage when fighting a fish.
A drilled thru-hole ensures a full-diameter, clear, in-line path for the line to enter and exit the reel.
Black powder coat finish for reduced line friction on the shot and a tough, sleek look.
New Back End Features:
Toolless, quick-release lever simplifies adjustment and removal of the rod.
Hex shank is keyed to set position and integrate with toolless lever (patent pending).
This rod is made for the new MegaMouth mount with toolless lever lock (4509-01). However, it will work in all older style MegaMouth mounts, but you will not benefit from the quick-release lever without purchasing the entire assembly.
